Well, it’s never too late. Buy it now. The big things I remembered wanting as a child were a dog, a horse, a piano and a Barbie. It’s pretty exciting. I now have had all four of those.
I have been fortunate over the years to have had some amazing dogs. I was honored to be the name sake for a friend’s dog. Each an individual being so different than any of the rest and I have loved each of them as I love this amazingly lovely creature we have today, Miss Pink.
My horse, Tess, an adopted mustang from the reservation in northern Arizona, was my present to myself for my 40th birthday. She was my confidant, my muse, my buddy, my baby. When we moved to the farm we didn’t want her to be lonely so we got her a horse named Texas who was a registered quarter horse and registered paint. He was gorgeous and though hands above Tess, he allowed her to rule his life. They are both gone, and I doubt I will choose to have another horse.
As to the piano, I was very lucky to have the opportunity to test my abilities at the keyboard as we got David’s family piano when his mother sold her home. I may try it again someday; but, for now I hope that the grandkids, when old enough to take lessons, will enjoy their opportunity to learn to play.
And we finally come to Barbie. I just got her. She is a yoga bendable brunette Barbie with 22 joints and I can position her in so many different poses and she can help me teach classes and workshops. It’s never too late. Getting Barbie now is perfect. I will certainly appreciate her more today than when I was 7 and all those decades ago, I certainly would not have received a Barbie with bendable joints.
Don’t give up. You can make your childhood wishes come true today . . . you are never too old. Rewrite your past into your reality today.
